Ian Joyner
IAN JOYNER has been interested in martial arts his entire life but it wasn't until after school that he began seriously studying various forms and styles. After experiencing Wing Chun, Shotokan Karate and Aikido, he moved to California searching for something new. At the recommendation of his friend, he took the F.I.S.T thinking it to be yet another step in his training… he had no idea just how large a step it would be.
Ian has been able to utilize Bukido® in every aspect of his life, from family and friends to business and career goals that otherwise would have seemed daunting. After participating in the F.I.S.T and regularly attending weekly classes he knew that Bukido® was not just a simple martial art; but a path for his life.
Watching his fellow instructors go through their Forge was an eye opening experience for him. Seeing these valiant men willingly pushing themselves to limits that most could never dream and watching them EXCELL in ways that should not have been possible. From that moment forward his own idea of limits changed forever.
After assisting in a B.L.A.S.T he realized just how he could potentially help others. Watching women from all walks of life, move their past fears, some of which had crippled them since childhood, amazed him, it was obvious that there was more to this training than personal enrichment. Through the Bukido® Training System, Ian has committed himself to the idea of a world where such fear simply has no room to exist.
